RAFP SPRING CHALLENGE
Spring is just around the corner and once again the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry is challenging local residents to contribute to the Annual RAFP Spring Challenge. All monetary donations and pledges will be matched at the 1% level by a generous donor. That means your donation gets an increase! To help during the RAFP Spring Challenge, monetary donations can be made through our website, mailed directly to the RAFP or to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry c/o BMO Harris Bank, 7 N. Brown Street, Rhinelander, WI 54501. Donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the RAFP at 627 Coon Street from 9am to 12pm Monday through Friday.
BOY SCOUTS & POST OFFICE FOOD DRIVES - APRIL & MAY
Look for the bag! A bag is placed on mailboxes and front doors to collect non-perishable food items. These bags are filled by you and then collected by the Boy Scouts or the Post Office and delivered to the RAFP. This is an easy way to make a difference!
Stuff the TRUCK - Trig's
Each year, Trig's Grocery hosts a food drive to support local community food pantries. Shoppers are able to make donations at checkout or
purchase non-perishable food items to donate. They also have the option to purchase pre-packed bags of food or personal care items. Donation boxes are set up at each location.
The 5th Annual Harvest Hoedown hosted at The Woodpecker Bar & Grill has been postponed due to COVID-19. We look forward to this community event in 2021!
This annual fall-themed event features live music, line dancing, horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, handmade crafts, homemade baked goods and crafts, PLUS Packer ticket raffles, a pig roast, and fun activities for the entire family. Admission is free and open to the public. All proceeds will benefit the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry and NATH/Frederick Place shelter.
EMPTY BOWL EVENT - Nicolet College
